STL Session: Compliance Assistance for DOD Contractors
We are partnering with the St. Louis Economic Development Partnership to offer NO-COST Compliance Assistance to help Department of Defense (DOD) contractors, subcontractors AND suppliers comply with the Defense Federal Acquisition Regulation Supplement (DFARS). This course is a FINAL call for those who process, store or transmit Controlled Unclassified Information (CUI) AND who failed to meet the minimum-security standards by December 31, 2017. Failure to meet the requirement puts our nation at risk and jeopardizes the supply network for the DOD as those who do not act could lose their federal contract.
Due to the high demand, this is our second session in St. Louis. This will be the FINAL session so register today.
This NO COST track will help you comply with the DFARS. This offering, which is typically provided at $1,250 per company, includes: preventative training, a thorough system assessment, network scan, a Report that can be used to mitigate potential risks, and an Action Plan. The Report and Action Plan are what you need to work towards complying with DFARS.
This is a first come, first serve opportunity. Because every company’s system is different, we can only serve so many at any one time. However, each company can bring up to a team of four. Registration for this session closes on Dec. 12 at 5 p.m.
WHO IS THIS FOR: All Department of Defense (DoD) contractors, subcontractors AND suppliers that process, store or transmit Controlled Unclassified Information (CUI) who still need to meet the Defense Federal Acquisition Regulation Supplement (DFARS) minimum security standards.
If you are a Department of Defense contractor, you are required to meet certain cyber security measures. *By taking part in our Compliance Assistance, you can identify areas of weakness and take the necessary steps to protect your assets and works towards meeting the requirements to continue your federal contract.
By registering, you will take part in a series of three phases:
- Phase I: Information and Instruction on the Scan – On Dec. 14, we will explain the NIST 800-171 framework to help companies understand the federal requirements as well as demonstrate how the network assessment and security scan works. The hardware we use will be at the event and questions about next steps are answered by our IT contractor.
- Phase II: Individual Network Scans – At the Dec. 14th workshop, we will schedule a time to conduct the onsite scan with your company. We ask that your IT department be involved in the scan process. The electronic network scan that is part of your assessment will be performed using a unique hardware/software application called Detector™. This equipment is connected to your network for a brief time, and when disconnected there is no trace or lingering effect; all scans are held in a secure cloud server and used only to prepare your confidential assessment report.
- Phase III: Report & Action Plan – Approximately a week after the scan, we will provide your Report which will include the fault findings as well as your Action Plan. The Report and Action Plan are what you need to help you comply with the DFARS.
Protecting your network, data and technology is a matter of national security. Register today and protect your DOD contract.
*Missouri Enterprise cannot guarantee your compliance with the DFARS due to your unique contract with DOD and potentially other requirements unknown to us.
