Background and Education
I am excited to be part of your company’s team as a project manager. You will find I am passionate about quality and helping employees and organizations achieve their goals to reach how they define excellence.
My career has been in the medical arena including health insurance, hospice/homecare, aging continuum both in direct practice social work and management positions and in Higher Education. My skills and expertise having been a social worker provide most useful as I can easily navigate conflict and personality challenges, build teams utilizing strengths-based coaching, and collaborate with others. I have held positions of Director of Strategic Initiatives, Quality Manager, Quality Coordinator, Program Chair, Adjunct Faculty and Performance Improvement Professional.
Over the course of my career, I have earned a reputation of success by working with senior leadership to identify business needs, devise improvement plans, and execute strategies that maximize the organization’s quality, safety, efficiency, and productivity. In each role in which I have worked, I was credited with developing cohesive teams and leading them successfully through high-profile projects that enhanced operations and positioned businesses for greater success going forward. I have utilized principles of Lean and Six Sigma to help reach clinical and operational/business outcomes, thru waste walks, showing how to use A3’s for problem solving, principles of 5S, gap analysis and project plans for accreditation compliance, using data to understand issues and drive change, using tools for RCA related to patient care/patient safety issues and aspects of Hoshin Kanri to align organizations from mission statement to employee’s doing the daily work.
I am proficient in Value Stream mapping and costed value stream map tools. Playing with data and analyzing it is my kind of fun! I love volunteering my time and have in the past have been on Boards of Directors providing strategic guidance and direction, and as a committee member doing work to further organizations mission.
I have a Bachelor of Science and Master’s Degree in Social Work, as well as a Master of Science in Management & Organizational Behavior. I completed Lean Lead Facilitator Training from WCM Associates/South Suburban College. I am a Senior Member of ASQ and member of NAHQ.
