Full-Day: Leadership Development Program (DDI Course)
You know that “one size fits all” doesn’t apply when it comes to leadership development.
With the availability of options like virtual classroom and access to microcourses, will face-to-face training go away? Based on what we’re learning from our manufacturing community, the answer is “No.” Research also shows that leaders still find formal training to be one of the most effective development methods, second only to in-role assignments, which is why we are pleased to offer a Leadership Development program comprised of the two DDI course tracks below for the low rate of $250 p/person (this class is typically offered at $390 p/person). By registering on this page, you are signing up for the full-day. If you decide to select just one track, simply click on the course title below and you will be directed to a separate registration page. Neither track requires a prerequisite, but both complement one another.
Track One - Your Leadership Journey (8:30 a.m. - 12:30 p.m.)
Making the transition from individual contributor to leader is both exciting and challenging. Unfortunately, we often promote individuals based on their hard work, and they struggle because being a leader is a career change, not just a slight shift in the work they do. This half-day course arms a new or prospective leader with the knowledge and skills they need to confront the challenges they face early in their leader career. Certificates of Completion are provided at the end of the course.
- Reduce the stress associated with the shift to leading others.
- Act with authenticity to build trust.
- Bring out the best in others to enhance engagement and capacity.
- Look for and accept feedback with grace.
Track Two - Communicating for Leadership Success (1:30 p.m. - 5:30 p.m.)
Organizations need leaders who can do more and be more in order to succeed in today's complex environment. They need front-line leaders with strong interpersonal skills who can get things done by mobilizing and engaging others. Join us for this course, which serves as the foundation course for most Interaction Management® sessions that help leaders communicate effectively so they can spark action in others. Certificates of Completion are provided at the end of the course.
- Achieve results through others by building strong interpersonal relationships.
- Plan for successful interactions with team members─in person and virtually.
- Provide meaningful, supportive feedback that motivates team members and helps individuals improve their performance.
- Impact business outcomes by consistently meeting the personal and practical needs of others.
