Lunch N Learn: How Virtual Reality and Augmented Reality Are Transforming Manufacturing (Lebanon)

Imagine being able to train new employees before their first day. Or try out a new machine for your facility before you write the check. Technology such as Virtual Reality (VR) and Augmented Reality (AR) is helping manufacturers and companies alike enhance their operations by providing immersive experiences and simulations. And it may sound new to you, but there are sectors who have been using it for some time. According to a survey conducted by PWC, more than one in three manufacturers were expected to adopt VR and AR technologies last year. For instance, several automotive companies already use VR during product development which allows engineers and designers to view and debate key features without incurring the cost of physical prototypes. Benefits include faster time-to-market and improved product design.

The presenter for this session is Charlie Rosenbury of Self Interactive, a startup based in Springfield, Mo.

The event will be held at the Lebanon Laclede County Library, 915 S. Jefferson Ave, Lebanon, MO.

This lunch and learn is also being offered in Fulton on March 11.
