Workplace Safety & DMD w/Cape Area Chamber

Two words that cause most to snooze or roll their eyes. But, considering how healthcare costs are rising AND how manufacturers cannot afford for a worker to be off the job due to an injury, these are two VERY IMPORTANT words.

As part of our Missouri Manufacturing Challenge workshop series, Missouri Enterprise and the Cape Area Chamber of Commerce are offering a helpful, yet brief, workshop to help manufacturers lower healthcare costs, avoid workers’ compensation claims, and reduce the number of lost days on the job. We want to help you protect your property and your people!

Topics covered in the workshop:
*Latest safety measures
*Breakdown of injury responsibility
*Explanation of Hazards & Controls
*How OSHA works (& insight into penalties & inspections)
*How Workers’ Comp. works
*Personal Protective Equipment
*OSHA record keeping
*Dangers of cellphone use

Make It a Team Event
Bring a few members of your team and make this part of your company’s commitment to quality and continuous improvement. Walk away with lifesaving AND cost saving knowledge, along with a Certificate of Completion for engaging in our Missouri Manufacturing Challenge workshop series. For $150, your company can send up to TWO PEOPLE to the workshop (take-home materials and lunch are included).

As part of this event and over the lunch hour, you will hear from Bob Beckmann, one of our experts, on Digital Manufacturing and how it is changing the game for the industry. You will walk away feeling more aware of what is coming down the pipe and perhaps learn about tools and resources available to you now. This is a free session that is complimentary from the Manufacturing Extension Partnership National Network.
